Many people have the misconception that you have to be on our service plan in order to get a tune-up. That’s not so!
We recommend (and so does everyone else) that you get two tune-ups a year, a spring tune-up and a fall tune-up. We recommend that you do both because we check different things in different seasons. In our fall tune-up we check your furnace. In the spring we check the A/C side of your unit.
But you do not have to be on our service plan to get a tune-up! The tune-ups are a benefit of the service plan, but you can get one without the other. If you just want a tune-up but don’t want to commit to a service plan, that’s absolutely fine. Just give us a call and we’ll come out and be glad to do it!
For the fall tune-up we check all the electrical components in your furnace. We do a visual inspection of the furnace, but we also check the amp draw and make sure all the other electrical components are working as they should. We check all the wiring. We check the delta T, which is the difference between your input and output temperatures. We make sure all your sensors are working. It’s a total check on the general well-being of your furnace.
