I know we do a lot of blogs and videos about filters. That’s because the number one thing you can do to keep your system clean is to change the filter! If you don’t change your filters on a regular basis, your system won’t work well and will eventually break down.
How Often To Change Your Filters
If your system uses 1-inch filters, we recommend that you change those once a month. If you have a system installed by us, you have a 4-inch filter. In every case we possibly can, we use 4-inch filter racks. These 4-inch filters only have to be changed every 6 months.
What Happens If You Don’t Change Your Filters
If you don’t change your filter, the evaporator coil, the coil that gets cold in the summer when you need air conditioning, gets wet. Then your filter becomes a gray filter. When you don’t change the filter on a regular basis you get a really gunky, awful mess.
So keep your filter changed.
