There are some big changes happening in the HVAC world in 2023!
SEER Rating
You’ve probably heard a lot about the SEER rating over the years. In 2023 the SEER rating is changing to SEER2. There’s a lot of technical stuff about it that you probably don’t care to hear. The important thing is that you have a good AC guy who will point you in the right direction. And if you’re watching this, you probably have one!
SEER2
The SEER2 rating has much more stringent testing procedures to determine the efficiency of the equipment. Most of that pertains to static pressure, which is air in versus air out of the furnace or indoor equipment.
How We’ve Always Done It
At Jaric, we’ve been ahead of that curve for 20 years! We have always added return air or new vents in the house that pull air back into the system to lessen the static pressure. We’ve been doing this for a long time because we know it’s important for efficiency!
