Our summer hasn’t been too bad, but those hot days sure are hot! How is your air conditioner keeping up?
We offer all our customers a service plan. If you have our service plan, we will come out every spring or summer to make sure your air conditioning system is in good shape and ready for the heat.
First we check your filters. We make sure that they’re clean. If you’d like us to switch them out, we do that for you.
Then we check the temperature split. We call this “Delta T” in the HVAC industry. This is the difference between the temperature of the air that your system is putting out, vs. the temperature of the air being brought back in. The rule of thumbs is that there should be at least a 20 degree difference. Anything less than that means your refrigerant levels are off.
We also check your drain pans to make sure they are dry and empty. If there is water in your drain pan that might mean that your primary drain is clogged. If it is, we will blow out that drain and pipe for you and get it working again.
